Vicksburg Community Garden

The Vicksburg Community Garden is a community empowerment project by the City of Vicksburg, Alcorn State University Extension Program and Shape Up Mississippi.
Location:  5855 Highway 61 South next to the Vicksburg Municipal Airport
Businesses, organizations and members of the community can sign up for a plot of land or a raised bed to grow produce, herbs and flowers. Rent a plot, volunteer to help, make a donation or donate tools.

          • Help turn land into a beneficial and beautiful space
          • Increase neighborhood access to fresh fruit and vegetables
          • Encourage residents to increase physical activity and make healthy food choices
          • Allow neighbors the opportunity to gather together and build strong friendships
          • Open to all, regardless of age, ability, socioeconomic status or gardening experience
